Tuesday Teaser

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event.

Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page. Share (2) “teaser” sentences from that page. Share the title & author of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser. Please avoid spoilers!

Teaser from The Great Gatsby:
"I married him because I thought he was a gentleman," she said finally. "I thought he knew something about breeding, but he wasn’t fit to lick my shoe."

Now that's a great quote! Somehow I've never read this one though.

Okay, I'll join. My teaser is a little different because it is from my Kindle and I don't have page numbers. I'll have to post it here, because I haven't yet learned how to set up a link in a comment (but I'd like to).

"Flatnose saw me and grunted out some sort of Neanderthal noise of surprise. He drew a handgun from inside his jacket, and it looked tiny in his hands."

from Fool Moon, by Jim Butcher. Lines 3616 to 3619.

Just finished Fool Moon. It was quite the ride.

I think you will love your Kindle. The only down side is the ease in purchasing books. It just takes a push of a button and 10 seconds and your money's spent. If you read the Weekly Update stuff though you can sometimes get books for free or just a dollar or two.

My only complaint is one shared by some other Kindle owners, you can't share the books. I am hoping that Amazon and Kindle will make that possible before long. Happy reading.
